About AWAI

AWAI is an independent creative studio based in Paris, working at the intersection of cinema, art and technology. We develop original visual experiences for films, documentaries, advertising, brands, and immersive installations. Our work blends Generative AI with traditional visual pipelines to invent new narrative and aesthetic languages.

We are looking for AI Artists to join us and help shape the future of visual storytelling.

Your Mission

You will work closely with our directors, artists and technical team to:

  • Design and produce AI-generated images, sequences and visual concepts

  • Explore and prototype new visual aesthetics and storytelling forms

  • Build and optimize hybrid pipelines combining Gen AI tools with traditional software (After Effects, Cinema 4D, Unreal Engine, etc.)

  • Participate in R&D phases and creative experimentation

  • Contribute to both client projects and internal artistic research

You will be involved in the full creative process, from early visual research to final production.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Passionate about cinema, visual arts and emerging technologies

  • Comfortable with Generative AI tools (image, video, or 3D)

  • At ease with at least one traditional software: After Effects, Cinema 4D, Unreal Engine, Blender or similar

  • Curious, autonomous, experimental, and creatively bold

  • Able to think both visually and conceptually

Technical perfection matters, but artistic sensitivity matters even more.

Skills we Appreciate

Experience with tools like: MidJourney, Stable Diffusion, Runway, ComfyUI, Kling, Sora, Pika, etc.

  • Basic scripting skills (Python, JS, or node-based workflows)

  • Understanding of compositing, color, lighting, camera language

  • Experience in volumetric, XR, real-time or immersive environments is a plus
