About AWAI

AWAI is an independent creative studio based in Paris, working at the intersection of cinema, art and technology. We design AI-native visual experiences for films, documentaries, brands and immersive installations.

Our practice combines machine-generated imagery, real-time workflows and traditional cinematic techniques to develop new narrative and aesthetic languages.

We are looking for visual creators who want to actively shape the next chapter of cinematic expression.

Your Mission

You will collaborate closely with our directors, artists and technical team to:

· Design and direct AI-generated imagery, sequences and visual concepts

· Develop hybrid pipelines integrating AI systems with established creative software (After Effects, Cinema 4D, Unreal Engine, Blender, etc.)

· Prototype new visual grammars and storytelling approaches

· Contribute to research and experimentation phases

· Participate in projects from early visual exploration to final production

This role goes beyond operating tools. It involves thinking, designing and directing visual experiences.

Your Profile

We are looking for someone who is:

· Deeply interested in cinema, visual arts and emerging creative technologies

· Able to guide and control machine-generated imagery with intention and aesthetic precision

· Comfortable working within hybrid workflows (AI + traditional software)

· Curious, autonomous and conceptually strong

· Sensitive to visual language, composition, light and cinematic rhythm

Technical excellence is important, but artistic judgment and creative vision matter even more.

Skills we Appreciate

Experience working with AI-based image, video or 3D generation systems

· Understanding of compositing, color grading, lighting and camera language

· Familiarity with real-time, volumetric or immersive environments

· Basic scripting or node-based workflow knowledge (Python, JS, procedural systems) is a plus

We value adaptability and critical thinking over specific tool expertise.
